Pride and Prejudice

Chapter 53
Well the movie got the parting of the Wickham's and Bennet's pretty accurate. Lydia is as snobby as ever. At least maybe when her husband glory wears off she will be resourceful and find something that will make her money.

I don't like the change in addressing Jane. Suddenly this version of the book I am reading has starting referring to Jane as Miss Bennet. It is odd and I don't like it. I would much prefer just Jane and it would be less confusing cause there is 4 Miss Bennet's.

I love Mr. Bennet's respond to his wife request of him to visit Mr. Bingley, now that he is coming to town again. I won't share it you will have to read it for yourself. But it is fabulous!

I keep picturing this scene but I think I am getting it mixed up with a scene from Withering Heights. It is were I swear Elizabeth was going for a walk and sprained her ankle and could no longer walk and Mr. Darcy happened to be horseback riding past. But so far, I have not found that and I doubt very much that I will as I think it is part of another book. I should change this book from the Jane Austen Project to the Perusal of Understanding Classic Books.

Bingley and Darcy are visiting the Bennts!! Oh so strange, both Jane and Elizabeth are worried and unsure of how to react. And Mrs. Bennet is so rude to Darcy, if only she could actually understand (if she was to find out) what he had done for her family. Because I don't think she would treat him any better even if she did know. I swear Mrs. Bennet really wants to ruin thing for her daughters not marry them off!!
