Even though this project is just suppose to be about Jane Austen and her books. I figure this semi counts and it was a fun read so why not share on both my book blog and here. Happy Reading!!
Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict was such a good book! What Courtney goes through is exactly what I would go through. I could relate to her on all things. In fact most of the time it was like I was in my own imagination after reading one of Jane Austen's books or watching a movie adaption.
I really enjoyed this book and read it in a few hours, late into the night! When I should have been getting my beauty rest for work! But I was just so intrigued. Laurie Viera Rigler does the descriptions so well. Like Courtney's awe of visiting baths and Pemberely and how she quotes different parts of the book.
I do feel like it ended rather abruptly. Feel a little flat for me in the end. I wanted/want more. So I am pretty excited that Laurie wrote Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict, because I am hoping for more and just as good!!
And just a random thing, I LOVE how she describe smells and all the things you don't see in movie adaptions or the things not mentioned in books. Like monthly courses, chamber pots, and bathing. Truly hilarious at times!! Anyways I love reading and things just makes me want to devourer more of Jane Austen's books and become an authentic fan!!
